Holistic Choice Food

Holistic Choice Koi and Goldfish Food

Holistic Choice Food provides your Koi with a healthy staple diet of 38% protein, fish meal based kibble along with the healthy benefits of 8 freeze dried fruits and vegetables with every pond fish feeding. A diet so unique you can see the difference!

For your koi to thrive they need more than just a quality kibble, they need the vitamins and minerals from fruits and vegetables. A well rounded diet is important for the overall holistic health of your koi (and yourself).

HOLISTIC CHOICE uses ONLY "human grade" (not animal or pet grade) freeze dried fruits and vegetables that actually contain 100% of the vitamins and minerals of store bought fresh fruits and vegetables. With every feeding your koi will be getting the vitamins and minerals they NEED on a daily basis. You will no longer need to remember (or take the time) to supplement your kois diet.

  • 60°F to 70°F - feed 1% - 2% of total fish weight divided into three daily feedings
  • 70°F to 80°F - feed 3 to 3-1/2% of total fish weight divided into 3-10 feedings
  • 80°F to 90°F - feed 2% to 1% of total fish weight divided into 3-10 feedings

Koi have a protrusive mouth that is ideally suited for bottom feeding. Koi are referred to as benthic feeders, since the position of the mouth on the underside of the head allows them to literally suck foods from the pond bottom. However, they are able to feed at any level, bottom, midwater and at the surface.

Koi love treats and will eat just about anything. Some nutritions treats for yor koi are watermelon, oranges, grapefruit and iceberg or romaine lettuce.
