Avocet PLX

Avocet® PLX (active ingredient: 54-percent glyphosate) is an EPA-registered systemic herbicide that provides excellent control of emergent weeds (cattail, reeds, water lillies) in all flowing or non-flowing fresh and brackish water.

Avocet PLX can also be used on shorelines, landscapes, turf and non-crop areas, even native habitats.

As part of the NexGen line of enhanced post-patent chemistries, Avocet PLX uses only the best active ingredients and improved manufacturing processes. University testing proves that NexGen reformulations actually outperform traditional pesticide brands for efficacy and value.

Avocet PLX contains its own patented surfactant, so you eliminate the cost of adding other surfactants.

• Fast-acting, systemic mode of action. Avocet PLX effectively controls the whole plant and minimizes regrowth by moving down through the foliage into the root system. Visible effects on most annual weeds can be seen in a few days.
• Broad-spectrum control. Do a more thorough job by getting exceptional, dependable control of a wide range of emergent and floating plants, brush, grasses and herbaceous weeds.
• Multi-site use. In addition to golf courses and landscapes, Avocet PLX is approved for use in recreational areas and other non-crop sites. It’s ideal when restoring and maintaining native habitat areas.
• Versatile application options. Simplify your control program by using Avocet as a broadcast foliar spray or injected or applied onto freshly cut stumps for tree and woody vegetation control.
• Convenient packaging choices. Avocet PLX is available in 2.5 gallon containers to help expedite handling, storage and disposal.
• Avocet PLX mixes readily with water to be applied as a foliar spray on emerged plants, using most standard industrial or field-type sprayers.

Applications should be as spray-to-wet, with complete and uniform coverage. When less than complete coverage is expected, use a 5% Avocet PLX solution for control of annual and perennial weeds, and 5–8% solution for woody brush and trees. In accordance with label instructions, Avocet PLX may also be applied as a wick/ wiper or cut-stump treatment (50–100% solution) or injected treatment (25–100% solution) on nuisance woody brush.
